I'm Max Halley, a motion designer who's spent the last 15 years making things move around on screens. I'm still slightly bemused that I've managed to make a career out of it, but it's taken me to some brilliant studios along the way, including Animade, Giant Ant and Elastic.
I do a bit of everything, from slick motion graphics and explainers to playful character animation, branding, GIFs and Lottie animations. Much of this involves moving something three pixels to the left, staring at it for twenty minutes, then moving it back and convincing myself it was a productive afternoon.
These days I freelance from the South East of Ireland. I like clever ideas, thoughtful design and working with people who don't take themselves too seriously....unlike this, which I've rewritten about 15 times and am still not entirely happy with.
